Once Upon A Time Featuring Evil Mermaids and Ariel, The Little Mermaid!

Run Time For Each Episode: 1 hour

Episode Titles:
"The Heart Of The Truest Believer"
"Ariel"
"Dark Hollow"
"The Jolly Roger"
"Poor Unfortunate Soul"

My Review:
"Once Upon A Time" is known for bringing our favorite story book characters to life, including some Disney characters. Snow White, Maleficent, Rumpelstiltskin, Mulan, Cinderella, Belle and even Anna and Elsa have made their debut! But so far, I've loved that in seasons 3 and 4, mermaids have become a part of the show.

The first mentioning of mermaids is in the episode, "The Heart Of The Truest Believer." But these mermaids aren't so sweet... they're the mermaids from Neverland! I was totally enraptured by their shrill screams and beautiful tails. They even have the power to call storms and destroy ships.

Later on in the series, my favorite mermaid makes an appearance! Ariel! :D JoAnna Garcia Swisher played Ariel beautifully. She was bubbly, cute and preformed Ariel's mannerisms perfectly!
In later episodes, Ursula swims up from the depths to stir up trouble. If you love fantasy, drama, love and of course, fairy tales, I recommend watching "Once Upon A Time." I give the first two episodes (*****) 5 stars.

Under The Sea!

Xena: Warrior Princess featuring Crabella, Sturgina and Crustacea

Title: Married With Fishsticks

Run Time: 45 minutes

Summary(imdb.com):
When she's into a fight between Aphrodite and Discord, Gabrielle falls into the sea and when she wakes up, she's a siren named Crustacea, and she's married to a Joxer look-alike called Hagar.

My Review:
Wow... I dont even know where to begin with this episode. Not only was the plot very strange, but the mermaids were hideous and trashy!

Oh and by the way...
that weird squid thing is one of the mermaid's kids!!!

I really didn't like this episode and I don't reccomend it. I give this episode (**) 2 stars.

Baywatch Episode Featuring Mellisande the Mermaid

Title: Rendezvous

Run time: 1 hour

Summary(imdb.com):

Kristy and Todd are two of Manny's friends at his high school and who are madly in love with each other. When their romance is threatened by Todd's wealthy and snobbish parents, who employ Manny's mother as their maid, and Kristy's single working-class mother, both Kristy and Todd make a suicide pact rather than end their romance. Meanwhile, Cody meets a mermaid while scuba diving who mistakes him for the lost love of her life. But no one will believe Cody's story, except C.J, who together they attempt to track her down.

My Review:
Everyone knows Baywatch for the fabulous Pamela Anderson and David Hasselhoff, but did you know a mermaid named Mellisande starred in the episode titled, "Rendezvous"?

The mermaid featured here is okay. Although the woman who played Mellisande is beautiful, there are some flops with her tail. I noticed it kept detaching from her waist:

There was also ALOT of teenage drama. I would just skip to the mermaid parts ;)
I give this episode *** 3 stars.

*This one is my fave!

The Little Mermaid Movie Series

The Little Mermaid 3: Ariel's Beginning.

I really loved this movie, just as I have loved all of "The Little Mermaid" movies. I think that all the characters stayed true to their original form, especially Ariel, who is bubbly, giggly, and is determined. Sebastian was also very true to his original character. In fact, the Jodi Benson and Samuel E. Wright played their original characters of Sebastian and Ariel.

The only character that was very different was Flounder. As we know from the first movie, he is very shy, skittish and a bit of a worry wart! However, in this movie Flounder is courageous and outgoing, and isnt scared to get into trouble. What I also loved about this movie was that Ariel's sisters were shown as teenagers instead of grown women like in the first movie, so it was awesome to see that new perspective. The music was my favorite though. There were fresh Carribean beats, and the songs were remade from "Shake Senora." Overall, this movie was beautifully touching and actually got me choked up in a few scenes. I give this movie (*****) 5 stars.

The Little Mermaid 1: The Original

What can I say, merfolk? "The Little Mermaid" is not only a timeless Disney classic, but it is also the movie that makes many people begin to love mermaids. Although this is a Disney movie meant for children, it is filled with rich detail in plot and character structure that makes it enjoyable for children and adults alike.
My favorite scene!

The animation, all hand drawn is unlike the movies of today, And we all know Ariel is the prettiest Disney princess, both adored for her charming, determined personality, and her beauty. :)

The love that Eric and Ariel share really brought tears to my eyes, through the sad moments when Ariel almost lost her prince, and when they finally get married at the end.

The woman that played Ariel, Jodi Benson, has a voice that will wrap around your heart and give you goosebumps, especially when she sings "Part Of Your World". This movie definetly gets (*****) 5 stars.
